'NorthGrove had a humble dream: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. The venture began with the Johnson family in 1985, as a quaint, familial operation with deep-rooted recipes passed through generations.
Emily Johnson, the originator, mastered the art of pizza in Italy, apprenticing with renowned pizzaiolos in the city where pizza was conceived, Naples. After coming back to the UK, she was motivated to recreate the essence of Neapolitan pizza, adhering to ancestral techniques and selecting premium components.
Our once small 12-seater has evolved into a cherished community staple. Nevertheless, our devotion to excellence and authentic craft has stood firm. We honor the old cooking methods with our wood-burning stove, prepare our dough daily, and seek the most exceptional products available.
Even today, 'NorthGrove is still in the hands of the Johnson lineage, with the progeny now at the helm of our enthusiastic cadre. Although we've adopted certain modern processes, our core purpose endures: to make delectable, real pizzas that unite folks.
